About Maria Reichert
A brief background, Animal Science Major in undergrad, Degree in Veterinary Medicine, I once started, owned, managed a small animal veterinary practice.
I jumped out of an airplane in college, spent a summer varnishing sailboats in Newport Rhode Island, witnessed the Northern Lights unexpectedly one late night in Durham, New Hampshire.
I have an amazing husband, two wonderful children (nearly grown), I am currently learning how to ride a horse again.
Somewhere along the line, I picked up a paintbrush and began to paint.
I focus my artwork on horses, dogs, cats and different aspects of nature. I am simply fascinated by the bond that connects animals and nature to our human lives.
I carved out a little space I call "the Art Cellar", with some excellent but loud music, the dog asleep nearby, a few under-watered house plants and an overfed goldfish.
And each day I paint.
