Black Horse painting, oil on canvas, inspired by a very talented and beautiful black quarter horse mare my daughter was lucky enough to spend time with.

A brief background, Animal Science Major in undergrad, Degree in Veterinary Medicine, I once started, owned, managed a small animal veterinary practice. I jumped out of an airplane in college, spent a summer varnishing sailboats in Newport Rhode Island, witnessed the Northern Lights unexpectedly one late night in Durham, New Hampshire. I have an amazing husband, two wonderful children (nearly grown), I am currently learning how to ride a horse again. Somewhere along the line, I picked up a paintbrush and began to paint.
